June 9-The Rosemont team may be wondering about clothing to bring.  It is brisk and cool the first hour or so of the morning (6-8), but it warms up fast.  A sweat shirt or fleece (my preference) will get you through the morning.  It is in the mid-40’s early in the morning, but dry.  High temperatures are in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s, but remember it is very dry.  There is almost always a breeze blowing, but it is dry also.  Chapstick is a must, as well as, lotion for your hands and feet.  Your lips, feet and hands will dry out quickly.  A hat and sunglasses will serve you well.  We are south of the equator, but close to the equator.  The sun is very bright and intense.  Did I mention it is dry here?!?!?!?!  Bring a water bottle!  The water here at NDO is drinking water.  I have been drinking it since I arrived with no ill affects!!!!
Sunday is a day to relax here at NDO.  Lynne milked this morning at 6 am.  Someone else feeds the animals.  Sunday is a time to take a nap, read a book or just relax.  I am looking forward to seeing the smiling faces of the Rosemont team.  If anybody would like to put a box of Cheez-its in your suitcase I will gladly pay you for them.
Hi, this is Lynne, I am working with Noah, it seems a good name for him since he is in charge of all the animals and is helping me build a garden. He told me that he doesn’t know Jesus but wants to follow Jesus. I am relaying to him how I follow the Lord just as I did with my children.  I kind of understand how Paul felt when he called the people of the new churches his children in the Lord. Pray for Noah, I believe he is watching us and thinking seriously about God based on what we say and do.  Also pray for us, that we continue to have a good witness.
I am struck by how very quiet it is here.  There is no ambient noise such as car engines, HVACs, airplanes, or TVs.  It is peaceful. Last night we were without water as they were working on the well.  It was a minor inconvenience. The pluses here far outweigh the minuses. (Of course, I haven’t experienced the hot rainy season!)
We are all celebrating that the well drillers struck water yesterday but the even better news was that they continued to hit water the deeper they went.  They dug a fairly deep well to insure that it was a sustainable and full well. The water situation here at New Day looks good.  I believe this is a blessing for future growth here at New Day!

Larry Back-We have an American social tonight at Blu and Darbi Tidwell’s home.  Lasagna, Lynne’s home baked bread and games.  It is time to walk to the best hot spot for internet (the Sausage Tree-seed pods that are 15-18 inches long and 4-5 inches around  .  .  .  imagine having one of those fall on your head).  Hope all is well there.  We are isolated from news from America or anywhere.  If the world ended tomorrow it would be a while before we found out.  We continue to appreciate and covet your prayers.  P.S.  If someone wants to sneak some dark chocolate into a Zambia team members suitcase, my wife would be ecstatic!!!
